An international comparison between the Drac and the Souloise
The festival, held between the French Alps and the Drac River, was a concentration of technique and exchange. We explored crystal-clear waters like those of the Souloise stream, tackling class III-IV rapids that require great environmental awareness.
This immersion confirmed that packrafting is an extraordinary tool for enhancing territories like our Val di Lima, where the wild nature and river routes offer unique landscapes in Italy.
Consolidating the experience: safety at the center
For those of us at Rockonda who have worked on the river for years, the festival was an opportunity to validate advanced teaching approaches. Whitewater safety management and self-sufficiency during descents are the pillars we have always conveyed at our centers in Bagni di Lucca.

We are no newcomers to this world, but we want to continue to innovate. Starting from 2026, Rockonda is enhancing its offer by transforming the experience of these years into an even more structured Packrafting School, with specific training programs for every level:

– Professional Courses: One- or two-day programs to refine technique and safety.
– Packraft Formula Weekend: Intensive experiences for those who want to experience the river to the fullest.
– Slovenia in Packraft: Our historic five-day international event combining training and adventure.
Packrafting with Rockonda continues to evolve: a complete journey made of full days or weekends, always guided by our certified professionals.
